A textile and surface design artist born and raised in Berwick-upon-Tweed (Brenda Moody), I studied Art and Design at Heriot Watt and Loughborough University before setting up my studio in Warwickshire. I combine my love of texture and vivid colours with paper, paint, fabrics and stitch. This is then constructed and manipulated into 2D and sculptural forms to produce original contemporary works including framed pictures, wall hangings and table lamps.
I teach Explore your Creative Potential art and design workshops at The Bramble Patch, Northampton https://thebramblepatch.co.uk/shop/index.asp as well as more recent endeavours working as a Community Artist running Art and Health workshops for Escape Community Art in Action http://escapeworkshop.co.uk/.
Talks and Workshops for Guilds are a regular diary date with both The Embroiderers Guild and The Quilters Guild - check my Workshops page for full information and booking details.
During 2010 I will be exhibiting and selling my artworks at a variety of venues. Pop your name on my mailing list to receive email details or email me your address for a postal invitation. brenboardman@me.com
